LEGO Dumper MOC
This is my first real city themed MOC (My Own Creation). The tipping bed on the back is from a Toy Story model. I ordered a couple from Bricklink as I thought I might use them as skips on the road in my future LEGO town layout. They are a bit big for that purpose, so one got used on this dumper model instead.
In the above picture you can see the tile used for the number plate is from set 3179 – I really like the red and white warning stripes and number plate combination and I don’t have the repair truck set it comes from, so the number plate is still unique in New Brighton (that’s the working name for my potential city layout…). I’m really pleased with some of the details on the MOC – I especially like how the wing mirrors and the exhaust stack turned out, along with the step plates on the sides of the cab. The chunky front grill with the grey blocks behind looks good too – nice and industrial.
I was able to build most of the model with parts I had – but I did buy the yellow bonnet and roof tiles from Bricklink, along with the wing mirrors and number plate tiles.
After building the truck I’ve noticed more vehicles that I see on a daily basis that I fancy turning into LEGO MOCs, so watch this space for more city themed models.
